Preparing your files Production Sessions are designed for print-ready projects. To help us prepare your project, tell us a little about where you are in the process. We'll guide you to the right kind of support if needed. Print-ready files are Imposed on A3 within the printable area margins (289 x 409) greyscale PDFs flattened – no layers, flattened or rasterised effects like drop shadows or opacities. min. 300 dpi - max. 600 dpi each colour as a separate file clean – check your files for light shadows as these can show up darker when printed with 3mm bleed (for full bleed artwork) with crop marks around the imposed pages (unless we are setting up the files for you)

Perfect! We will do a quick check at the beginning of your Production Session to make sure everything is ready to print. No additional preparation is required. We will be in touch shortly to set a time for your production session.

We will review your files before-hand (if you send them to us) or at the beginning of your Production Session. Corrections of the artwork will have to be done by you. PDF fixes will be done by us immediately. A file-check includes: comparing print-files with color-proof flagging too much ink coverage flagging details that might get lost checking Bleed & margins checking PDF export

Artwork preparation Artwork preparation is different from technical file preparation. If your artwork still needs colour separations, layered artwork preparation or colour planning, this work needs to be completed before your Production Session.

Learn while preparing your project Rather than preparing the files for you, we will work on them together. Perfect if you'd like to understand colour separations, file preparation and Risograph workflows while developing your own project. During a private workshop, you will get to work 1:1, test-print your project and produce 1 A3 print in an edition of 10. If you prefer to learn in a group setting, check out our upcoming workshop dates.

Before booking Production Sessions are designed for print-ready projects. Small technical corrections and file checks can be carried out at the beginning of your session. Artwork preparation, colour separations and more extensive file preparation must be completed before your Production Session.
