This workshop teaches you the basics of Riso-printing with a focus on poster design.
Using collage material, printed textures and typography, and/or drawing, create and print a two-colour A3 poster directly from the Risograph Scanner.
Before attending the workshop, reflect on a topic or motif you would like to work with. If you want to work with specific imagery or texts please print them out in greyscale beforehand. Otherwise we will provide stamps, collage and drawing material, printed typography and textures.
This workshop enables you to book printer-time to work on your own projects in the future.
What will I learn?
You will learn how the Riso machine functions working with the analogue scanning-bed.
Who is this for?
For people that want to do something with their hands and dive deeper into the experimental analogue side of the printer.
What should I bring?
Crafting materials are provided. Stamps, drawing material, collage books, printed typography and textures.
What do I take home?
You take home 10 A3 posters in 2 colors.
The images on the Visual are posters from our Small Press Library from other presses and designers such as Marijn Degenaar, Good Press, Halfletter Press, Sick Comrade a.o.
