This workshop teaches you the basics of analogue Riso-printing. You will get to know the machine through multiple scanning modes and settings to collaboratively make 2-color posters from cutouts, drawings, photographs and textures directly on the Risograph-Scanner.
What will I learn?
You will learn how the Riso machine functions working with the analogue scanning-bed. We will show you the limitations and perks of working analogue with this printing technique and how to achieve the best results using different scan settings. This workshop will enable you to book Experimentation Station hours in the future to work on your own projects.
Who is this for?
For Riso beginners, people that want to do something with their hands and dive deeper into the experimental analogue side of the printer.
What should I bring?
Crafting materials are provided. However there is an experimental object/texture scanning round. For this we ask you to bring in something slightly flat and textured, this could be anything from leaves, coins, chain, ribbon, netting, sequins - anything you want to see translated into riso-print!
What do I take home?
You take home collaborative A3 posters in 2 colors.
