Join Tabs for a hands-on workshop learning how to make drypoint etchings using milk cartons and a pasta machine. Get to know the process through your own designs, experimenting with thickness and depth of lines, amount of ink and wetness of paper to create your ideal etching. All etchings will then be collectively scanned onto the Risograph scanner to produce an A3 Poster.
What will I learn?
This workshop will teach you the basic technique of etching using milk cartons and a pasta machine. Through experimentation you will learn how the depth and thickness of lines, amount of ink, and wetness of paper affect your desired outcome.
Who is this for?
Anyone looking to tap into their own creativity and find new ways of making.
What should I bring?
Your hands! All tools and materials are provided.
What do I take home?
Participants take home all etchings made during the workshop and an A3 collaborative riso-printed poster.
