Are you tired of standard rectangle books that just open in the regular way? Do you want your zine to be a bit extravagant or experimental? Then join Lauria for a new evening series of bookbinding experiments, where we’ll look at wacky binding methods, unusual binding materials and unnecessary ornamental embellishments, tailored to your project fantasies.
What will I learn?
The basics of making pamphlets, simple glue-binding and incorporating folded structures into your bookmaking.
Who is this for?
Zine or book makers who want to experiment with form; anyone who has a weird project on your mind that you want to test out!
What should I bring?
Your hands! All tools and materials are provided.
What do I take home?
Participants take home 1 standard A5 notebook (pamphlet, glue, or accordion) plus whatever weird experiments that you can make during the workshop.
